The Institute for Expository Preaching is honored to partner with Luther Rice Seminary to provide students with continued opportunities for academic and ministry growth.

  1. Transfer Credit – Upon successful completion of our program, Luther Rice Seminary will accept applicable coursework for transfer credit toward their degree programs.

  2. Scholarship Benefits – All graduates of the Institute for Expository Preaching will receive a 15% tuition scholarship per course at Luther Rice Seminary, as well as a free application when pursuing further studies.

H.B. Charles Jr. has been the pastor of Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL, since 2008. Throughout H.B.’s pastorate, his love for God’s Word, the church, and lost people has resulted in joyfully balancing his pastoral responsibilities with speaking engagements in revivals, conferences, and other church events. He is author of numerous books, including On Pastoring: A Short Guide to Living, Leading, and Ministering as a Pastor and On Preaching: Personal & Pastoral Insights for the Preparation & Practice of Preaching. In addition, he is host of “The On Preaching Podcast,” president of Cutting It Straight Ministries, and Editor-in-Chief of Cutting It Straight magazine. He is married to his best friend, Crystal, and they are the proud parents of three children.
